What is MyChart? Why am I being directed to MyChart for UMMC 2 You visits?

UMMC MyChart is a website and app that lets you manage your health care. In MyChart, you can make and change appointments, message your provider, see test results, request prescription refills and more. UMMC 2 You video visits are part of MyChart, so you’ll need a MyChart account to have a UMMC 2 You visit.

Do I have to sign up for MyChart to use UMMC 2 You?

Yes, you will need to sign up for MyChart, as UMMC 2 You is part of MyChart and is only available through the MyChart site and app.

How much does a UMMC 2 You visit cost?

The cost of your visit will depend on your insurance and the type of visit you have. During the eCheck-in process, we will validate your insurance and estimate the visit cost before your visit begins.

There will be an additional $15 charge for visits after hours, on weekends and on holidays.

  • After hours: 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM, Monday through Friday
  • Weekends: 9:00 PM Friday to 8:00 AM Monday
  • Holidays: 9:00 PM the day before to 8:00 AM on the day after each legal holiday

What will I need to use UMMC 2 You?

You will need a smartphone, tablet or computer with internet access, camera, microphone, and speakers. It helps to be in a quiet, private space during your visit.

Who will provide my care?

Physicians and nurse practitioners who are employed by the University of Mississippi Medical Center will provide your care.

What if I need to be seen in person?

If your UMMC 2 You provider determines you should be seen in a clinic, they'll help you set up an in-person visit. UMMC 2 You has access to a statewide network of UMMC and non-UMMC providers that we can easily refer you to for follow-up care. Many issues can be handled during the telehealth visit, however.

How can I add UMMC2You.com to my home screen?

iOS:
Launch Safari on your iPhone or iPad.
Navigate to the site that you want to create a home screen shortcut to.
Tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow pointing out of it) at the bottom of the screen.
Scroll down to the list of actions and tap Add to Home Screen.
Tap Add in the top-right corner of the screen.

Android:
Launch Chrome on your Android device.
Open the website you want to add to your home screen.
Tap the menu icon (3 dots in upper-right hand corner) and tap Add to home screen.

Desktop using Chrome:
Go to UMMC2You.com
Grab the lock in the address bar and pull that to your desktop.

Desktop using Edge:
Go to UMMC2You.com
Grab the lock in the address bar and pull that to your desktop.

If you have a MyChart account, you can log in to MyChart and navigate to the appointment page for UMMC 2 You. If you don’t have a MyChart account, you’ll need to sign up for one first, as UMMC 2 You is only available through the MyChart site and app.

Protecting your health information is very important to us. Our services are safe, secure, and HIPAA and HITECH compliant. All data transmitted during an appointment is encrypted, while in transit and after delivery. We ensure that you will have the same, or higher, level of privacy you would expect any doctor’s office.

We can help manage your symptoms and connect you to testing and treatment with an online visit. COVID-19 symptoms can include:

  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell

Mental Health Care(Available during business hours by appointment)

Medical Nutrition Therapy(Available during business hours by appointment)

Nutritional assessment and counseling services for patients who have diabetes, chronic kidney disease, or have had a kidney transplant.

Can you prescribe medications?

Yes, we can prescribe common medications, if needed and send it electronically to the pharmacy you choose. Some conditions may require lab work and other tests to be completed before medication can be prescribed.

Can I get a same day appointment?

Same day appointments are usually available for minor medical care.

Mental health and medical nutrition therapy visits are by appointment Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm. Appointments may not be available on the same day.

Why isn't the UMMC 2 You app working for video visits anymore?

As of March 1, 2022, UMMC 2 You video visits are available only through UMMC MyChart. The MyChart website and app lets you have UMMC 2 You video visits, schedule appointments, message your care team, request prescription refills, view test results and more. If you don’t yet have a MyChart account, you can sign up for one here. Beginning May 1, 2022, the previous UMMC 2 You app will no longer be accessible.

I had a UMMC 2 You account before it became part of MyChart. Do I still need a MyChart account for UMMC 2 You visits?

Yes, you will need a MyChart account. As of March 1, 2022, UMMC 2 You video visits are available only through UMMC MyChart. The UMMC 2 You app is no longer working, and we encourage you to download the UMMC MyChart app for UMMC 2 You visits. If you already have a MyChart account, you can use it to schedule a UMMC 2 You video visits. If you don’t yet have a MyChart account, you can sign up for one here.
